Veja have been championing innovative production with the inclusion of new fabrics since first establishing in 2004. The SDU B-Mesh Shoes feature a black grafite body made from a sustainable material called B-Mesh, which is made from recycled plastic bottles. This upcycling process creates a breathable and waterproof fabric, which is practical and attractive thanks to the jacquard style satin finish. Synthetic leather panels from Germany make up the edges and feature durable double top stitching, plus a wild rubber ‘V’ logo has been layered on top in a light grey. The lining is made from recycled polyester jersey and the inner sole from organic cotton and polyurethane. The tongue has embossed branding and the sole is made from Amazonian wild rubber.

The detail behind each design makes Veja much more than a fashion footwear company. Since 2004, Veja have been pioneering new materials, traceable sourcing and monitored production. Leading styles such as the V-10 use materials such as organic cotton, Amazonian wild rubber and synthetic leather. Inspired by the current innovative generation, founders François-Ghislain Morillion, Sébastien Kopp released their first trainer in 2005 after a year of extensive research in Brazil.
